Michael was a Senior at the University of Tulsa, majoring in Musical Theatre. During his time there he starred as Moritz in Spring Awakening, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Carney in Biloxi Blues, and Jack in Into the Woods. Ernest Hemingway once said that the only hope a young artist has of making a name for himself is either to come up with something completely unique and original, or else beat dead men at their own game.

Theatre Tulsa’s new production of “The Importance of Being Earnest” is something of an attempt at the latter. Director Clayton B. Hodges has taken Oscar Wilde’s 1895 comedy of manners and relocates it in a kind of post-apocalyptic England circa 2126. ...
