One of the very coolest history-teaching tools is Oklahoma Chautauqua, presented by the Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa and the Oklahoma Humanities Council. Every summer, Chautauqua brings historical figures to life. The characters speak to the audience for a bit, then take questions.

Tulsa Project Theatre’s “Hairspray” is about as silly as the name of the latest dance sensation that is sweeping the nation, as hyperactive as a toddler hopped up on soda pop and Snickers bars, and as solid as a bouffant lacquered in Aqua-Net.
